Most Advice is Garbage

Most advice on the internet is garbage. It presupposes a highly generalized question and then offers a highly generalized solution.

The problem is that none of us are general. Our situations, personalities, and communication styles are highly specific to us. Your unique problems require unique solutions custom tailored to you.

So instead of asking Google a general question and then trusting it to spit out a useful answer, far better to spend time in a highly specific community of real people who know you and understand your unique needs. Then let your community give you the kind of advice that will actually help you.
