Set in an 18th Century London, The Transfer of Risk is an historical fantasy story about William Sutton, an eighteenth-century London merchant on the brink of bankruptcy. William needs to be sure that his ship will arrive safely to the Virginia Colonies. When he hears about an alternative form of insurance that can guarantee safe travel, the opportunity seems too good to pass up. But all guarantees have a cost.

There are so many other great stories in this edition. Here are a few other blurbs taken from the Bards and Sages website:

The Big Bad Wolf and Grandmother share more than just an annoyance with a certain girl in red in Grandmother’s Shoes.

A young boy discovers that a mathematical miscalculation can result in more than poor marks in Solving for X.

A peculiar phone call from her husband is only the first in a strange series of events that upends a woman’s well-manicured life in She Could Be Me.
